  • ICAO24 / HEX 445566 service request

There is an interesting issue with this hexcode. It is received around the world by all kind of receivers (RTL, SBS, radarscape, airnav) using different software combinations. And that by several receivers in the same region at the same time. Some MLAT positions had been calculated. It has been seen first around beginning of 2011 and it is using DF11 messages (ModeS not ADSB).
It would be nice if somebody at the FR24-servers could run a request to get the MLAT data of it, position, altitude, speed? and time and post it here.
    thanks

ps.: it had been seen within minutes some 100km away, satellite ?

Ongoing talks in the Planeplotter yahoo group forums about it. Its entirely possibly its a planeplotter MLAT system only bug

      hi,
dont think so, because it appears in the local logs of each receiver too.

Not as a solid signal. Only a single data packet each time. So not enough for it to log to the 30003 capturing software I use

That and I'm continents away from the EU ones being reported atm

          hi,
if you followed it it had been also received in Australia and NZ. And it is a DF11 which is send out only as reply of an ATC's UF11 request to all. so you will not receive a permanent stream like with other messages. But never mind if not visible in your logs its visible in others receivers logs at home.

Got a post link or number? Cause yes, I'm following each message in the thread to see how I can stop it showing up and so far it like I'm the only one to report from oceania.

lets see if they find the time to findout something at the fr24 servers. fr24 seems to have more permanent uploaders and are quicker with their boxes. The only problem I see, I dont know if the fr24boxes are configured to receive the DF11. they are configured not to receive all messages.
there are some around your aerea with PP: http://www.coaa.co.uk/pp-sh-wo-jpg.php

I would say forget it more or less this is with the fr24box, the 1 above with the beast.
and from near Frankfurt, looks like 445566 is wrong decoded noise

I pick this up several times a day with my FR24 receiver here in Mid Canterbury, NZ, but only few couple of seconds each time.

                          ok, then.
from somebody who should know it.
Its noise or signals around which might give this pattern. Even with FEC switched on and CRC those wrong message interpretations might happen and cannot really be avoided. It can be partially avoided if you accept only 5 messages out of 20 as valid.
I think this can be closed now.
                          thanks all.
