Boeing 787 dreamliner arrives at farnborough
The 787 Dreamliner arrives at Farnborough airshow, its a very good looking aircraft. I love the look of the engines. Heres a few links that have got video's.
Boeing is preparing to take a bumper haul of orders for its 787 Dreamliner at this week's Farnborough Airshow. Here is the story of the long-awaited aircraft.
Boeing's flagship 787 Dreamliner lands at Farnborough for its first appearance at an international air show.
Just had a look on Casper at Farnborough for yesterday. I found it making a fly past at 8:57am and then going around over Guildford to make a final approach at 9:07 and landing on UK tarmac at 9:09am. Is this the first landing of a 787 in the UK. I think the call sign is BOE787. All for now.AMS Daily Fight Information: http://schiphol.dutchplanespotters.nl/

787 deliveries , RR blew up !!
In August, Boeing announced it was pushing back the delivery of its first 787 to All Nippon Airways of Japan by three months to mid-February 2011. Boeing originally planned to deliver its first 787 in May 2008. On Friday, Boeing reaffirmed the February delivery.
Boeing attributed the delay in August to the availability of Rolls-Royce Trent 1000 engines, which are one of two engines offered on the Dreamliner. During testing this summer, a Trent 1000 engine suffered an uncontained failure on a test bed, meaning it blew up.
Plenty Boeing news here

Boeing better start ironing the problems out with the 787, or i can see all airlines that have placed orders getting fed up with the delay after delay, and canx, i know Boeing has had problems with new build aircraft in the past and delayed deliveries, but delays were not that long like it is with this new build.

Boeing suspends all 787 flight testing, further programme delays likely
Boeing has suspended all flight testing for the 787 programme for the time being following an electrical fire onboard its second flight test aircraft, ZA002, on Tuesday (November 9). The twinjet made a safe emergency landing at Laredo, Texas, and no serious injuries among the approximately 40-strong test crew were reported (see yesterday’s talking point at https://www.ubmaviationnews.com/News.../Talking-Point). Boeing has said that the aircraft lost primary electrical power due to a fire in the aft electronics bay. An initial inspection revealed that at least a power control panel, the apparent source of the fire, will need to be replaced. However, the airframer indicated that other areas might also need repair. Given the suspension of flight testing for the remaining five flight test aircraft, the accident is bound to create further delays for the 787 programme. Boeing said it needs to work through the flight data before it can determine the impact on the overall programme schedule. The latest date for the Dreamliner’s first delivery to ANA is February 2011, however there had already been industry speculation about further delays before Tuesday’s accident.

Boeing says it is redesigning 787 Dreamliner electrical panel
Hi
Boeing says it is redesigning electrical panels on the 787 Dreamliner and updating its systems software after a fire broke out on one of its test flights earlier this month.
