BANGKOK - In just a month of time, Thai Airways first Airbus A380, will be rolled out and will start its preparation and training procedures before being put into service on its regular routes to Europe. The first Airbus A380 in the colours of Thai Airways is due to arrive on September 27."However we will first test it to routes to Hong Kong and Singapore. Then following the delivery of our second aircraft, we will start commercial operations to Europe with flights to Frankfurt from December than to London and Paris from January and February”, indicates Kritappon Chantalitanon, Vice President Product and Service Development at Thai Airways International. Thai will also introduce the aircraft on the route to Tokyo Narita out of Bangkok.
For Ampon Kittiampon[FONT=Verdana], Thai Chairman of the Board of Directors, Thai choice of the Airbus A380 was determined by passengers’ preference for a more spacious cabin. To maximize the comfort on board in all classes of service, Thai is installing only 507 seats in its three classes with 12 seats in First Class, 60 in Royal Silk Class and 435 in Economy Class for all six aircraft joining the fleet until next year.
