  • This teen got 30 months in jail for his own Laser stunt. The kid went on to point it at the Police chopper that was looking for him... talk about dumb !

    • I can understand it if someone gets a laser pointer they want to see if they can pick out that tree 1000m away, then a plane or helicopter comes past and they wonder if they can pick that out too - without a thought about the pilots and passengers on the aircraft.
      the 30 months sentence mentioned above for lighting up the palne and police helicopter mentioned above may have been so it would hit the prime time news - so the word got out not to do it, maybe sentances like that should be happen more often and it be pointed out the the light beam has two ends - the one on the ground points the the person who is holding the laser.

      • They had an incident with a medical helicopter medic getting his eye burned by someone pointing a green laser at them here in Dallas a few days ago

              The Pilot declared a mayday.. was he hurt ?
              That glass broke way to easy ... obviously not laminated safety glass which is should have been.

                Watch carefully, his glasses fly into the back seat, and seems he was mildly shocked and had cuts to forehead. Losing glasses made his vision very hard I suspect.

                              • Accident: Swiss RJ1H at London on Mar 27th 2014, rejected takeoff

                                A Swiss Avro RJ-100, registration HB-IXX performing flight LX-437 from London City,EN (UK) to Geneva (Switzerland) with 74 passengers and 4 crew, was lined up with runway 09 before the runway threshold and cleared for takeoff, the engines were spooling up to takeoff power with brakes still applied, when the outboard right hand engine (#4, LF507) emitted a bang followed by flames. The crew rejected takeoff, shut the aircraft down and initiated an emergency evacuation via slides. 3 people received minor injuries.
