Hi there
Hoping somewhere here might be able to help with the following...
We were due to fly from JFK to LGW on May 6th 2025 but the flight was cancelled. The reason given for this by BA was "due to the previous flight diversion to Philadelphia due to adverse weather at New York"
The flight in question was BA2273 from LGW, which landed at PHL at 18:10.
I've checked on Flight Radar and established that flights landed at JFK at intervals of several minutes throughout the afternoon and evening on May 6th - see https://www.flightradar24.com/airpor...ate=2025-05-06 - which suggests to me that there were no apparent issues with the weather at JFK that day.
I've also looked at the playback of BA2273 on that day - see attached image or https://www.flightradar24.com/data/f...a2273#3a367dcc
Does this look like a flight that's experiencing adverse weather conditions at its destination airport? Or something else?
I'd appreciate any thoughts/expertise you can share.
Many thanks
Neil
