    Hi,
    sorry about my question
The receiver received today. Ground traffic at Geneva airport can be seen. 150nm-> Bordeaux, 70nm -> Zurich, 60nm -> northwest, 200nm -> Barcelona with the little antenna on the balcony. Very nice toy.

Charky - The ADS-B transmitters are installed on aircraft, not at ground facilities. Their function for use with radar boxes is to offer lat/long data along with the standard Mode-S squitter that allows us, with PCs or Macs, but no rotating radar antenna on our domestic roofs to be able to translate the lat/long data into a map position. You have to have aircraft with ADS-B in order to see them on your equipment therefore. That's why it often a waste of space for readers to ask FR24 to put a blue cross down on the map where their local airport is if there are no ADS-B equipped flights using the route. Typically Dash-8s, ATRs, SAAB 340/2000 or most Embraer aircraft are not equipped, nor are MD-80/DC-9 series. Since mostly they fly over land masses on regional routes, they manage their own nav using VOR/DME facilities, or perhaps with an onboard FMS, but not providing any output, other than standard Mode-S squitters, offering just altitude and squawk number information for ATC.
