    As others said here before, only you can decide.

    Of interest may be two databases that centralise information about aviation in or near conflict zones:

    - the "Conflict Zone Information Bulletin (CZIB’s)" of EASA (I am a newcomer so can't post a link yet but I will edit this comment with a link as soon I have reached my required 4 comments)


    - the "Conflict Zones Risk Information - ICAO"

    Also check the travel advisories issued by your own government.

    My son's flight flew across Iraq yesterday and managed to dodge the missiles. As are the dozens of commercial aircraft flying there as I type.

    If you're still not sure, go ahead and cancel. Just hope you get a full refund.

    I saw it posted online. Says Libya airspace, Syria airspace and Iraq airspace pose a threat to commercial aircraft. I could be wronge I don’t know. I don’t really want to cancel my trip.

    Flying Qatar airways next week. Looks like they fly over Syria and Iraq... are these airspaces safe? Does anyone know? I thought flying through both of those airspaces was forbidden currently.
