    The two aircraft could be at different altitudes.
    Like at 30,000 and the other at 38,000 altitude.

    Many itineraries between north america-asia / middle-europe-asia goes over my hometown.
    Never seen a scene like this: there is a wide open sky, why those planes pass each other so close?
