G'Day Mike.
You are in a great position for over-flights... Unlike me, being in Melbourne (Victoria Australia) which is usually the 'destination' so flyovers are very rare.
In fact, the only 2 I think I've ever seen (and verified on FR24) was Auckland to Perth direct (Air NZ), and Sydney to Johannesburg (Qantas QF63).
To be able to catch either of those 2 flights, with a contrail, and clear skies would be pure luck I reckon :-)
Anyway, your pics have inspired me to drag out my Meade scope & try snapping a few flights.
As it turns out, the SYD-JHB flight is due overhead at about 11:30am (every day) - giving me a chance for a capture.
My 2 previous posts yesterday pale into insignificance compared to the quality of yours, and even with my scope -a Meade ETX-90 reflector, focal length 1250mm) images still won't be like yours.
I know it's going to be difficult to try & duplicate what you do, but I'll give it a try today, and see what happens - but chances are there won't be any trails.
Regards, Greg.
