    Not sarcastic, making a point.

It's easy to assign special significance to otherwise mundane data after it's known that something has gone wrong. That doesn't necessarily mean that there actually were any hidden messages, though.

      • A general view from an AN-26 aircraft from the Vietnamese airforce, during a mission to find the missing Malaysia Airlines flight MH370,
shows Tho Chu island March 11. The massive search has drawn in military aircraft, coastguard and civilian vessels from 10 nations, but failed to turn up any trace of the
Boeing 777-200ER that vanished about an hour into a flight from Kuala Lumpur to Beijing early on Saturday. (Kham/Reuters)

I agree, that such photos do not add anything important to its search value / investigation / important talks .

My bet is that most of us were already fr24 fans and, like others have said, came here because we knew that the fr24 might have more thoughtful and accurate analysis than the general fora found on news sites etc.

We all desperately want to see mh370 found and we are getting our heads round the puzzle in different ways. As I said earlier on, I don't know why tomnod discussion should be excluded - it's the only actually productive thing we can do. Why it it any less deserving than endless speculation about what may have happened. And, this thread is within the general aviation board so surely it permits digression from pure fr24 discussion?

How about a separate thread for tomnod sightings discussion, if that's ok with the mods of course? If not then we could pin a post to somewhere able to handle the traffic. But please, fellow users, don't show such hostilty here. I'm sure that all of us have the loved ones of the passengers in our minds. We all care about this. So let's be a little kinder to each other.

Given that speed daemon's "tom ****" has been edited to say tomnods, has speed daemon been disciplined at all? He/she is still posting freely.

              • ^^ To be honest, I am not familiar with tomnod,
but I guess somewhere they must be having an index map page
for joining all those page nos, ( a key map ) and that will tell you,
on which page ( locality ) you are searching now and which pages you should have look for, for this plane.

                • Does anyone know if the cockpit is pressure sealed from the rest of the plane ?
If there is a sudden decompression in the cockpit, will that effect the passenger compartment?

Also, as far as the pings are concerned, I'm concluding that they only reveal the distance from
the satellite, not the location. I know it's highly unlikely, but everyone is assuming the plane continued
to fly in a straight direction. Assuming a damaged plane, with the auto pilot receiving dodgy information
from the sensors, it could have gone into a circling pattern anywhere along that arc.
I wonder what the FMS does if it starts receiving conflicting compass settings ?

Also the "Flight crew operations manuals" are all freely available for downloading for anyone
interested in the specifics of the 777 cockpit and operations.

                    • "In a statement issued overnight, the Australian Maritime Safety Authority said a civil aircraft had reported sighting a number of small objects with the naked eye, including a wooden pallet, within a radius of five kilometres.

"A Royal New Zealand Air Force (RNZAF) P3 Orion aircraft with specialist electro-optic observation
equipment was diverted to the location, arriving after the first aircraft left, but only reported sighting
clumps of seaweed," the statement said."

Questions regarding Capt. Zaharie Ahmad Shah, the pilot of the missing Malaysia Airlines Flight MH370, continue to arise as the search for the missing plane enters its 14th day on Friday. Journalists scouring through the pilot's social media activity have found he "liked" atheist-themed videos on YouTube.

As investigators searched Shah's home just outside of Malaysia's capital, Kuala Lumpur, they discovered that he "liked" and subscribed to multiple atheist channels on YouTube. According to The New York Times, out of the dozens of videos Shah "liked" on the platform, four consisted of well-known atheists explaining why they didn't believe in religion. The pilot also subscribed to the official YouTube channel of the Richard Dawkins Foundation for Reason and Science, and the channel for Eddie Izzard, a British comedian also known to be atheist.

                          • interesting news, and as per my very strong initial opinion,.... the final result and the final conclusion is also right there,........ about who is the real culprit behind this entire game,
                            and all it needs is
to put his wife on 'remand' to cough it up all.
It was all intentional and no accidental accidents were there, in the whole story anywhere. Everythg was pre-planned and willfully done.

Since, the wife was a separated one, with 3 kids,..... she will eventually cough up all,.... and all we will be seen,.... ultimately nothing but the clear terror links, behind all ! Uh !

We have been watching/deleting for some time actually. And closing in on the final tipping point on the subject as less and less posts actually offer valuable input/information that is not available elsewhere.

Early in the stage most of us were deleting users and associated posts daily that were trying to post rubbish/troll/off topic.
