    Yes, dump1090 is far better. I have currently very bad antenna and gr_air_modes catches the signal only when planes are within 20 kilometers. Dump1090 can find a plane as far as 150 kilometers away. It is more CPU-friendly, too.

    WOW, that's impressive. However, from my location I saw traffic at 190nm with the mini antenna supplied with the dongle!!! I will try dump1090 and report back.

    I just using this command
    ./dump1090 --net --net-sbs-port 30003 --interactiv
    compared with rtl_adsb, for me rtl_adsb is much better than dump1090.

    which device do you have? R820T or E4000?

    I'm using R820T.
    When using rtl_adsb it produce much more avr format.
    But also with more error packet.

    I have dump1090 and rtl_asdb working on raspberry. Both do an excellent job in forwarding data to fr24 and adsbscope.
    The issue I have is with planeplotter. I can feed data to it directly or via adsbscobe but on port 30002 I can't get it to receive raw data for mlat.
    Is it because the raw data is not coming from the raspberry?

    Try dump1090 like that:

    ./dump1090 --net --net-ro-port 30002

    Interesting, thank you. Where did you find --net-ro-port?
    It still didnt work though. Look at the message in the left bottom. All the blue aircraft are "mine".
    I use the settings for "AVR receiver"
