      hi delcomp,

any advice to increase maximum coverage?
max was 12nm, now 88nm using antenna and 1090Mhz filter bought from amazon

already place the antenna as high as I could

      regards,

        Hi,..

The only thing I can say,. Is that youve already done it,..

But the higher the Antenne the better the results

Im not one for amplifiers,. As ,. Not only do you amplifly the Signal,.. You Amplifly the Noise..
And by doing so,. You could have loss in Signal,. Which is not the point that is required..

So,. Good luck with your reception..

BY the way SOLAR2 has just land in Saville after crossing the Atlantic,. Without one drop of fuel..

noted that delcomp, will not try with amp thing
basically it's just a spare time hobby for me, and will not invest too heavy on the equipment

my range plot for the last 24 hr like this:
          plot.jpg

1 ring is for 50 km, north/south/east can cover to 150
          but west under 50 km
from the plot drawing, is it safe to say that west has obstacles (mountain etc) or there was no aircraft traffic going that sector for the last 24 hour?

          regards,

The Antenne has 5meters of Low loss Co-Axial cable, Connect to the Reciever under the roof,.
Then with a Dlink over the power cable,. Then from the Power socket in my room, connected
directly with my Router (Ethernet) 24/7 (No need for drilling and long USB Repeater cables)

            1090Mhz Antenne.jpg My Antenne,. A 1090SJ is 3meters above the roof
But due too a woods 200meter down the road,.. I lose about 20° of reception. On my South East
            side
And there it has been for the last five + years
Also please note ,.. the Mast has got NO earth,. connected to it..

            VRS.jpgMy range rings are 25nM.myvrs.jpg

            And No,.. Pre-amps

And thats the rig for F-EDLE1(Should really be F-EDLM1)

            Regards DEL

so good to see a lot aircraft at your radar
yes, definitely will retain only antenna and filter

BTW, since this is Indonesia section, why FR24 still use WIIB?
I thought ICAO already change WIIB to WICC

              anyone?
