  • Air Force One Tallinn to Wales

    Hi, and sorry my english...

Air Force One was in Tallinn 3.9.2014. It doesn't normally show in Flightradar.

However; LYF217 (Lithuanain air force) departs at same time from Tallinn as Air Force One (this is the information about the plane in Flightradar...). Plane's route goes from Tallinn to Wales. Near Cardiff it disappears. Could this be Air Force One and not a Lithaunian air force? Or can Lithaunian air force really escort Air Force One?

    Best regards, J. L., Finland

My guess that there are a lot more people apart from Mr. Obama flying from Estonia to Wales.

Now I understad: Alenia c-27J Spartan is not the plane shown in the picture. It's a military transport aircraft. But probably not Lithaunian Air Force..

So they flew very close, because Air Force One departed at the same time.

What Air Force one are you talking about ?

        It could be

Japanese Air Force One in the area.

Japan's government has admitted that the flight paths of official aircraft used by Prime Minister Shinzo Abe were posted online.
The location of the planes and other flight data were published on the website Flightradar24, which shows live air traffic around the world, local reports said.

The article is a bit unclear. Japanese Air Force One is not visible on FR24.

            Not anymore...

Both JF1 and JF2 were visible before.

JF001 and JF002 was on Flightradar24 website before August 27, 2014 per the news stories today.

"Officials said they had confirmed the data was removed on 27 August."

Pretty obvious it was the US President's "Air Force One". I'm not aware that the Japanese Prime Minister was in Tallin earlier this week.

Or maybe you know different? Or is this a thread "hijack"?

                    Hi,

Of course it was US President's "Air Force One". It's not very common at this part of the world to be able to see Air Force One. It was funny to watch all commercial plane's having extra rounds to make the airspace free for Mr. Obama's plane. The Sovjet border is very close... so no risk's was taken.
