When I click now on the "planes" tab: Are then only planes listed which are currently within the scope of the current map or world wide?

Assume I have a CALLSIGN for a long distance flight from Asia to Europe.
But I don't know where the aircraft currently is.

Can I enter this CALLSIGN somehow and "jump" to the map section (possibly outside the current map scope)? If yes: Where should I enter this CALLSIGN and where the "jump" button?

Just wondering if anyone managed to capture the flightpath of the Qantas flight (QF74) that left Sanfrancisco yesterday (2/9/2010?) that had a major engine malfunction?

The engine malfunctioned about 20 mins after takeoff, and the plane spent 30 minutes dumping fuel before landing.

I am living in Darmstadt (30 km south of FRA) and many planes pass directly over my house from NW to SE. When tracking planes on your site, they are consistently shown about 1 mile north of my house.

What could be the reason for this?

Still no traffic visible which is approaching Amsterdam Schiphol airport and in the past that was the case.

I am not an expert, but living very close to the approach to runway 27 and planes visible from my balcony.

Also wondering how do I stop flightradar24.com from timing out after 15 mins if I am tracking an aircraft movement and get disturbed and take my eyes off the screen it times out after 15 mins and I have to start again.
